Course Overview

This introductory course will cover all the essential skills and knowledge needed to become a proficient explorer of Perth’s night sky.  Constellations, planets and stars come to life as we join the dots through nightly observation and class activities.  Further, we will discuss the terminology, cosmology and methodology of modern astronomy through dedicated lectures, computer simulations will allow us to go further into deep space.  See the night sky in a new light!

Prerequisites

Age prerequisite:
Students need to be at least 17 years of age as of the 1 January of the current year.

Subjects prerequisite: Nil
