Year 11 - 40 Week Bridging Program

For students requiring academic and/or English language upgrading prior to entering an academic course, Canning College offers a range of Bridging Programs comprising 40% to 70% of English language skills. This is an important component focusing on developing students' abilities in listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Course Overview

The Year 11 program has the flexibility to enable international students to:
- Improve their level of English Language
- Develop their academic backgrounds in the subject they intend to study in the Foundation Program or the Western Australian Certificate of Education Year 12 program.

Time Allocation 4.5 hours per week per subject
Prerequisites English Competency Requirements
  • SPM English: D7
  • HKCEE English: Level 2
  • IELTS Overall Band Score: 5.0
  • TOEFL: 500
