Scholarships

University of Western Australia Sponsored Scholarships

Each year UWA Business School awards a special scholarship to a leading student from the Diploma of Commerce: UWA Stream program. The scholarship covers the tuition costs of studying Year 2, Year 3 and where appropriate Honours Year for the Bachelor of Commerce or the Bachelor of Economics program.

The scholarship winner is selected on the basis of academic merit and the student’s contribution to campus life at Canning College.

All Diploma of Commerce (UWA Stream) students are eligible.

Students will be notified of the success of their application after the Canning College Diploma of Commerce Board of Examiners Meeting in December. In certain circumstances students may be required to attend an interview as part of the selection process.

Other Awards

The UWA Engineering Dean's Award for Excellence: Undergraduate Entry from Canning College is presented to the top undergraduates admitted from Canning College. Students are selected on their academic performance in WAUFP (Foundation) or Year 12 studies at Canning College.

UWA’s Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mthematics introduced the award in recognition of the consistent number of high quality undergraduate entrants from Canning College. In the first year the award was uintroduced, 16 Canning College students entered the prestigious faculty atr UWA thus making canning College the leading provider of undergraduate international students.
