Students completing the Diploma of Commerce gain advance standing into the second year of the Bachelor of Commerce course at Curtin University of Technology.

Requirements

To complete the equivalent of the first year of the Bachelor of Commerce at Curtin University of Technology, students must:

●	Complete at least 8 academic units with a total value of 200 points.
●	Obtain a minimum score of 50% for each subject

	Note	Students who do not achieve 50% on their first attempt may be offered a Supplementary Examination if close to the pass mark. If not offered a Supplementary Examination, they may repeat the unit during Summer School.
		Students who have not passed eight units after two semesters of study and who have made satisfactory progress may enrol in second year University extension units in the Bachelor of Commerce at Curtin while completing the Diploma of Commerce.

Students will normally study the following units in the Diploma of Commerce

Semester One
●	Accounting 100
●	Economics 100
●	Information Systems 100
●	Legal Framework 100
Semester Two
●	Management 100
●	Marketing 100
	Plus 2 elective units chosen from
	●	Accounting (Managerial) 101
	●	Business Communications 101
	●	Business Statistics 101
	●	Economics (Macro) 101
	●	Law (Contract) 101
