Students
are offered the opportunity to undertake additional
bridging units in the Diploma of Commerce in order
to gain advanced standing into the second year of
the Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Economics
courses at The University of Western Australia.
Requirements
|
To complete
the equivalent of the first year of the
Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of
Economics at The University of Western
Australia, students must:

Complete at least 8 academic units
with a total value of 48 points. |
|

|
Obtain a minimum average of
65% across all academic units for
entry into the Bachelor of Commerce
or
60% for the Bachelor of Economics
with no units failed. |

|
Pass the required Bridging units
which will provide a minimum of 6
points. |
|
● |
|
Have passed at least one mathematics
module or previously passed an
equivalent of TEE Discrete
Mathematics, Higher Mathematics at
GCE 'O' levels or any mathematics at
GCE 'A' levels. |

Note |
Accounting (Managerial) 101 is
compulsory for all students wishing
to select the Accounting Major. |
|
|
|
Bridging units will normally consist
of half the contact hours for the
full unit, and will be assessed as
either Pas or Fail. |

|
Students may wish to extend their
course over the summer semester.
This option is available for
subjects other than those with
Bridging Units. |
